NSR Championships Information
This event is being hosted by the fantastic people at the Brunswick Slot Car Club. It is the oldest active slot car club in the southern hemisphere and has been racing for over 57 years. The host track has a Competition-grade 8 lane wood routed track and is high speed in nature with a main straight of over 12 meters long. Brunswick Junction is in a beautiful part of Western Australia and is the perfect setting for a weekend of Slot Car racing. The town is located on the Southwest Highway between Harvey and the coastal city of Bunbury and is about an hour and a half drive south-west of Perth. The Shire of Harvey is supporting this event and we are very grateful for their help, guidance and encouragement.
Weekend format is as follows:
Saturday Sept 24, 2022
8am Scrutineering with motors and tyres issued to drivers
10am – 2:00pm Practice - all classes 3 minute blocks for each driver
2:30-5:30pm Qualifying - all classes
Sunday Sept 25 2022
8am-9am Practice
9:15am Formula 86/89 heats based on qualifying then step-up Mains.
1:30pm GT3 Class heats based on qualifying then step-up Mains.
6:00pm racing finished 6:30pm Sunday night roast dinner at clubrooms.
Monday Sept 26 2022
8:00am Classic heats based on qualifying then Step-up mains
1:00pm Trophy Presentation for all classes and raffle drawn.
2:00pm event concludes
Accomodation
Camping accommodation is available at the Brunswick Junction show grounds with a kitchen and toilet/shower facilities. Cost is $10 per night. There are several other options available in the town including a hotel and a caravan park. The City of Bunbury is located about 25 mins away from Brunswick Junction and has a host of different accommodation options. For more information contact: NSRAustralianNats@outlook.com
