Scalextric Dodge Challenger T/A "Sam Posey" #76 – 1970 Trans-Am Series – 1:32 Slot Car
A genuine piece of Trans-Am history in 1:32 scale — the Dodge Challenger T/A as driven by Sam Posey during the fiercely competitive 1970 Trans-Am season.
The bright green Dodge Challengers were serious contenders that year, regularly mixing it up at the front of the field with the Boss 302 Mustangs and Z/28 Camaros that dominated the era. Posey's #76 car has a story behind it too: the real race car was famously over-dipped during an acid-stripping process meant to lighten the body, and the shell nearly disintegrated — forcing the team to weld in a roof from a road-going Challenger just to keep racing. It's one of the more memorable behind-the-scenes tales from Trans-Am's golden age.
This model captures the car in its full period livery — vivid Sublime green with black lower graphics, matte black bonnet, and "Dodge" and "76" lettering, right down to the sponsor decal detailing along the rockers.
